Q. In Australia, thousands and thousands of locusts have devastated crops of oats and alfalfa, having hatched last month due to heavy rains, and are now migrating across the country. The farmers were just beginning to recover from two years of draughts that have challenged their livelihood. What is the purpose of these massive amounts of insects? And given that pesticide spraying seems to be the only way to combat their destructive force, and limit their scourge across large land masses, what other alternatives do farmers have to improve crop yields and keep bugs from clearing out our food sources? Since pesticides also have a severe effect on groundwater and ecosystems, what is a possible solution to this problem?
In my own community there are too many pigeons and they seem to have no predators, such as hawks, to keep their population in check. Hundreds of them are nesting in homes and dumping their excessive waste everywhere. Overall, I wonder why some of these life forms even exist on Earth since they are not balanced, peaceful, or gentle. Most of them cause too many problems, pose a threat to other species, are aggressive or destructive in nature, and have limited awareness or developmental consciousness. Love does not seem to be a part of their energetic make-up and I doubt they will ever be capable of expressing it.
Higher Beings of Light would say that we are all related, and that all life forms emanate from Source. If this is true then I must confess that I have a hard time relating to lower life forms since they seem hollow in awareness and lack any discernable expression of love. Can you offer any insight that might relieve my challenges or increase my understanding?
A. Your challenge is a delightful one and I would not deprive you of it. I will, however, offer you a respite from it and an unguent to relieve its sting, albeit temporarily. All things (and beings) being relative, would you consider humanity (Homo Sapiens) as a species, a higher or lower form of life? Bear in mind that your answer may be substantially different than one offered by another person, or even by another species. Have you ever climbed to the top of a very tall building, a skyscraper perhaps? If you have, you may recall yourself thinking or saying one of the more popular expressions as echoed by many when first looking down, "Oh, look at all the tiny people, they look just like little ants moving about." Well, that is one potential view of humanity, and of course there are many, many more. The further removed you are (or think you are) from a person, a situation, or a species, the more inconsequential they seem.
The most evolved among you see the entire universe as a delightfully intricate tapestry of light, a resplendent art form with an expansive palette of color and texture. The less evolved often see a cosmic waste site, a dump replete with toxic and ill conceived beings hardly worth taking note of or bothering with. Somewhere between these seeming opposites there exists a great expanse of thought, dimension, density and creativity, and your own ideas rest among them. It is important to remember that just as your ground level perspective is significantly different from your skyscraper vantage point, so is your human perspective different from your soul perspective, your solar perspective and many, many others that together reflect an experience of wholeness. Any time that you find less room or reason for the existence of one being over another you are not reflecting your wholeness.
Even now as you contemplate the worthiness of a locust or a pigeon, or express concern relative to their overpopulation, there are others, who like you, have similar thoughts regarding another race or a different religion. Would it surprise you to know that the future of humanity as a species is held with contempt by other species that envision a more purposeful and balanced use of the earth and its (my) resources? Again, the further removed one is from any given perspective, the more inconsequential it seems.
Neither the earth nor the continents that rest upon or within it are currently in balance with respect to the kingdoms that reside therein. The third dimension is turning upon itself now in an attempt to restore balance, but balance is not something that is achieved in the present by studying past error. Balance is that which is most natural, even when that which is most unnatural seems to prevail. Locust populations rise and fall in accord with presiding weather conditions. Locusts have brains, but they do not think. Instead, their brains serve to reinforce their natural instinct. They act from instinct, and until recently, they did not need to react. They act as they have acted over millennia, with one exception . . . millennia ago humanity was not attempting to eradicate their species.
Long ago droughts came and went and locust populations responded accordingly. Today ground water is controlled, diverted and owned by those who allow unthinkable pollutants to seep into ancient and diminishing water tables. Weather no longer simply "happens". It is the result of skewed seasons and airborne pollutants that filter into the atmosphere and reduce the quality and life expectancy of all life. Unconscionable acts instigated by an unconscious humanity have made predators of peace loving species and enemies of others. Your question refers to species of limited awareness and/or developmental consciousness whose ability to become loving expressions seems doubtful. Are you certain your compass is pointed in the right direction?
Pigeon populations have soared in most industrialized nations. Tall buildings and dense cities harbor them and provide many places for nesting and multiplying their numbers. Have you ever wondered what pigeons eat? For the most part, they eat what others would consider waste. They are scavengers and they can survive on almost anything. In big cities and small communities alike they thrive on the tons of garbage and waste that is absent-mindedly created and then tossed-out. The evening trash makes a lovely breakfast for this predator-free species. Their most likely predators, the hawks, do not set wing or talon within city limits if at all possible. When necessity beckons them to do so, they find that a tasty rat, squirrel or mouse makes for a better meal. Do you know why? Because rats, squirrels and mice eat more organic material than pigeons do making them healthier to eat. Pigeons continue to proliferate, and why shouldn't they? They are not the ones making the waste, they are consuming it as fast as they can and in turn creating organic waste of their own, which by the way, decomposes much more quickly than your average paper or plastic carton. You are quite right; they are no longer balanced, peaceful or gentle. They are now fighting for their survival in a small, unfriendly territory where there is too much competition. They are aggressive mothers and fathers trying to feed hungry children in an uncertain time where their instincts are no longer natural. The human population that both shuns them and feeds them also influences them. Even their brain chemistry has been altered by the significant amount of artificial content in the food they scavenge daily.
Where is the glimmer of hope in this dismal but honest evaluation? Inherent in every relative problem is its potential solution. This is always the case and there is never an exception, which is why the third dimension is now turning upon itself in order to find it. Those who turn upon others will not find a solution even if it stares them back in the face. The solution does not lie in the discovery of a new petrol-chemical poison or another pharmaceutically invented drug. The solution will not be found in blame, or in the destruction and decimation of yet another species, culture, religion or race. The solution is inherent in the very problem it created. Yes, it's true. The solution, Creative Evolution, invented the problem in order to realize and later experience itself as the solution.
Creator expressing itself as Infinite Wisdom envisioned that all forms of life would evolve from one experience to the next and from one dimension or level of expression to the next. This is called Creative Evolution, as opposed to Survival of the Fittest, a very outmoded belief whose very structure will collapse in this century. Creative Evolution is not a theory, but a practice. It is not a Universal Law, but it is that which forms the basis of Universal Law. Its foundation underscores that all of life is sacred because it is consistent and all-inclusive within its make-up, only in its expression does it seem unique or different. Life (species) evolves more quickly when it responds with kindness rather than rancor and love instead of hate. Humanity is currently in the throes of this very lesson and will not evolve or ascend (regardless of what popular thought indicates) until this truth permeates third-dimensional earth. Universal threads whose tapestry has been divinely inspired and maintained weave all beings and all species. Only by acknowledging the underlying consciousness and creative expression within each strand of Infinity can true unity exist.
Creative Evolution is that which asserts the divinity within all things and all beings; it is that which makes matter matter. A Unity Ring of Life awaits physical expression now, but it must first be acknowledged and then created. The answer humanity seeks is that which creates without first destroying, and loves without first hating. The answer is contained within each human being, because all of humanity is currently receiving an impulse to respond to this very question. The simple-minded and the scholarly, the powerful and the poor, the rich and the scholarly; all receive exclusive and equal amounts of light. Humanity suffers its answer now, while its midwife master teachers await the eventual and heralded birth. As with all births, a natural delivery is desired by all concerned.

Q. Seth, the famous energy essence channeled through Jane Roberts, made an explicit statement in Seth Speaks, that Jeshua was not physically crucified. Seth went on to explain that Judas arranged for another person to replace Jeshua to die on the cross. I have read other channeled information, including that of light beings such as Michael and Jeshua himself that relate directly to the experience on the cross as being absolutely real up to and including the resurrection. Can you briefly explain what happened and why Seth would make such a statement in Seth Speaks? I like the Seth material, but after reading that portion, it makes me think the material may be inaccurate.
A. The Seth material is substantially accurate, perhaps more so than much of the other material that has been presented for your consideration. It is important to remember that channeling is an art, not a science. It is objective in intent but subjective in form. The subtle environments present in the mind, the heart and the soul influence the process called channeling. Even the most adept and devoted channels are subject to both inner and outer influences. One can never become an "expert" channel, and those who tell you otherwise are offering you subjective information based upon the influences of the ego portion of their mind, do you see? The best channels are those who have a deep and abiding trust in Spirit, and are aligned with the path they have chosen. A relationship with self as well as with spirit adds a grounded and well-rounded perspective to life.
Jane Roberts was such a channel. She is numbered among the few who consistently and accurately represented (rather than interpreted) the information that was offered. Previous lifetimes had served her well in this regard and she was more than prepared to fulfill her purpose. Her partner, who was also her scribe, was even more experienced than she having served as a scribe and translator throughout various lifetimes and soul expressions. That being acknowledged, we must also allow that in fact, there are a variety of historical truths relative to the accuracy of the Jeshua lifetime and the events surrounding it, which are still alive today.
It has been said many times and will be reiterated again here that that time is not linear and timelines are relative. Time is a relative measure that expands and contracts in order to serve the purpose for which it was created. For instance, the Gregorian calendar currently in effect serves a purpose. It manages and controls time and those who relate to it. By agreement, those who believe in its accuracy also believe that they are living in the year 2004. If the calendar were changed, as has been suggested, to include thirteen equal months aligned with the earth's moon, time as it is currently understood would be interpreted and experienced differently. It would affect your sleeping and dreaming patterns and even the reality that you create would be quite different.
The environment surrounding the Jeshua life was an important one, not simply because of its future influence, but because time was pliable then. The dimensions were not as clear-cut then as they seem today, and the earth was fertile and receptive. Time was measured, but not as it is today, and the seasons were perhaps the best guides of all. At this point we must make an assumption that you can either accept or reject, for if we do not, these words will occupy volumes rather than pages. The assumption I offer to you includes the theory that time bends in order to accommodate experience, not the other way around. Assuming this is true, time would arc or bend, which would allow it to experience itself creating a past or a future as it were. It may be helpful to imagine a streaming comet with a long trail of cosmic dust following it. Imagine that this comet (an expression of consciousness) has a very narrow elliptical orbit, would the head not be able to see its tail just across from itself?
Time, also an expression of consciousness, revealed several different layers of experience called lines of consciousness or more simply, timelines. Why? Because those who guide and influence the conscious evolution of the earth knew that the experience that was about to unfold would create both limitation and freedom from limitation, divine will and ordained will. Timelines are not always parallel expressions of consciousness; sometimes they intersect with other timelines to create junctures and crossroads of experience. Many such crossroads exist and it is likely that you have found yourselves at various such moments without stopping to consider that timelines may have conspired to make these moments possible. When timelines intersect realities merge and multiply. In geometry, for instance, the intersection of two lines creates a point that is now shared or claimed as common by all. The same is true with regard to timelines, their intersection creates relative time schemes and possibilities that all may draw upon. In this way, and with the agreed upon assumptive premise discussed earlier, many realities were born.
Given this premise, how can we determine the historical accuracy of events that unfolded millennia ago? The answer is relative and depends upon which timeline you follow. How many timelines were created? Their number is exponential and would be as difficult to calculate as the number of stars in the night sky. Each timeline offers many realities from which to choose, and each reality offers many dimensions and densities of experience. Would it be simpler if time were linear? Perhaps, but the future of humanity includes an opportunity to experience and become divinity itself. In order to do so it must disengage from the linear realities and timelines that have been imposed upon it and embrace its multi-cultural, multi-ethnic, multi-racial and multi-reality past.
Jane Roberts followed a timeline and related accurately all that was revealed to her, it would not be appropriate to fault her for not following all of the other timelines. Were other timelines and realities made available to her? Yes, but only those that were aligned with her unconscious willingness to experience and experiment with the process itself. In her subconscious mind they appeared as doors and as she approached them some opened and some did not. The entity Seth had agreement with the channel Jane, but this agreement did not include the right to pry or force open a locked door.
Every teacher has a similar agreement with those who offer themselves in this way and my relationship with the channel [Pepper Lewis] is no different. A number of years ago a subject that included exploring the legendary scrolls hidden within the Vatican library was proposed to the channel. At that time fear still existed within and without her being that found exception with the subject at hand. Past life wounds were explored, some of the fears were re-experienced and released, and others were quieted. But the subject matter still did not merit the fullness and depth of her ability as a channel and was eventually abandoned. Many years later we explored the same subject with a completely different outcome. Experience has been her [Pepper's] guide; trust her constant companion, and devotion to purpose a decree. Even so, the process is an ongoing one.
Most recently, a reader posed a question that included a prophetic statement of warning relative to the possibility that there would or could be an attempted assassination within the higher political echelons of those who rule. These ranks include but are not limited to those who exist beyond the extent of the law. Although the desire to pursue the subject matter was present and the channeling session did take place, it was never transcribed or published, because fear of a different, more pressing and engaging magnitude existed within the channel's daily environment. These rather intimate details are offered to you, the reader, with the explicit permission of the channel so that the process as well as the agreements inherent within the experience and the ever-unfolding relationship can be understood and seen as less than mysterious. As you can see, the first word uttered and the last word printed rests with the will (or the fear) of the channel. Had either of these channeled experiences been offered to the public in their present form, distortions would have appeared, which was neither viable nor acceptable.
Jane Roberts made many such decisions throughout her career as a channel, some of these were made consciously and others were relegated to the wisdom of the subconscious mind and it is important to be mindful of the many contributions she made during her lifetime. As to the accuracy of the information channeled regarding the being Jeshua I must ask you, what would invite you to believe that the information channeled by a version of the being Jeshua or by the entity Michael is more accurate than that of the being Seth? Is it possible that you prefer one answer or reality instead of another, and that you have sufficient corroborating evidence to make an educated albeit prejudiced decision? Is it also possible that your preference may have been influenced by the commonly agreed upon historic perspective most prevalent today?
Jeshua was a man, an icon, a myth, and a symbol. All of these are accurate depending upon how one relates to experience versus reality. Even those who were present during that timeline find more controversy than peace in the subject, because there was more than one Jeshua, and there was more than one Jesus, but there was only one Christ. Many good men were crucified and murdered then, just as the wrongly accused stand sentenced to death today. All are or were sons of God. When Jeshua was crucified an icon was born and a myth was started. Both still exist. By the time Christ returned the icon had already traveled far into the future and the myth had already spread throughout a variety of dimensions and timelines. Humanity will not discover the absolute truth until it experiences the Oneness that is Christhood, because within the body of Christ, Jeshua, Judas, and You are One, with and within All That Is. There was more than one Jeshua, there was more than one crucifixion, and there was more than one resurrection. Source as Infinite Wisdom could not offer humanity one flower, one cloud, or one teacher. You live on a garden planet where you are awakened daily by rainbow hued sunrises. Spectacular sunsets arrest their beauty at your feet as darkness falls, and a great and loving council of teachers demonstrate unwavering kindness and compassion before you have even detected their presence.
There were and are many interpretations of the accounts surrounding both the man Jeshua, and his resurrected Christ self, and because so many of them are vested in established religions that take great pride in proclaiming themselves the only, the truest, the original, or the first and the last authority, it is difficult to find agreement. Even within the channeling ranks the diversity is stunning. Use your own spiritual compass and see if it is not as accurate as the most adept channel, or the wisest being among you. As far as ancient and significant mysteries go, there are other stories that are more profound and revealing than this one, yet at least for now this one seems to be holding at number one on the spiritual "best-seller's" list."
